Western Presbyterian Church
Washington, D.C.

This church, built in the early 20th century, was moved piece by piece to a new site. Design services included providing updated structural systems, new conditioning systems, and more durable weatherproofing, all while maintaining the timeless details of the church’s original design. As a staff architect for Kress Cox Architects, Marc Wouters prepared detailed façade construction drawings, coordinated with mechanical and structural engineers, and assisted in the interior design of a new contemporary Great Hall.
