ABOUT

The principles of good design are timeless.  Designs that endure the test of time are not dependent on the style of the moment, but on their ability to celebrate the activities of our lives and to capture the vitality found in each individual site.

Marc Wouters Studios develops successful and comprehensive design solutions that are derived from experience in residential, commercial, and institutional buildings, and in urban planning at both the large scale and detailed scale. Projects led by Mr. Wouters have received AIA National, ULI, and CNU Charter Awards and have been featured in the New York Times and at GreenBuild. Our work includes city planning, urban revitalization, sustainable design and resiliency planning, transit-oriented development, mixed-use buildings, and new communities.

Over 20 years of experience in both urban design and detailed architectural design have resulted in the development of a unique design process that synthesizes an unusually wide range of design needs from start to finish. Inclusion of sustainable design in planning, architecture, development goals, incorporation of detailed and innovative building technology and site construction technology, resiliency planning, incorporation of landscape design, inclusion of community needs and goals where appropriate, and budget considerations play important roles throughout the design process. The complete integration of these various aspects of design from start to finish has resulted in numerous design awards, innovative design work, and in efficient use of the client’s time and resources.
