Resilience Planning
Resilience Planning not only allows a community to plan and adapt to future natural disasters, it can also allow a community to position itself to have a healthier economy and stronger social connectivity. Superstorm Sandy occurred during Mr. Wouters tenure at Stantec. 

While there, he directed a number of resiliency planning strategies including the Brooklyn Navy Yard Resiliency Plan, The Metropolitan Hospital Flood Barrier, the Coney Island Housing Sandy Resiliency Project, and the Booker T. Washington Housing Stormwater Plan. 

Marc Wouters Studios continues to explore ways to assist the residents of Puerto Rico with workshops and outlining long-term planning strategies.
