San Ramon City Center
San Ramon City Center is envisioned as a new urban center for a largely suburban region. Located adjacent to the office park of Bishop Ranch and to a retail area, the plan transforms a suburban business center into a pedestrian-oriented civic center. The plan includes a new plaza, residences over retail, hotel, theater, library, transit center, and new city hall.
As a partner for Cooper Robertson & Partners, Marc Wouters lead the design of the architecture including apartments, retail, and hotel and assisted in the planning of the project. The 2 million sqft of development incorporates two anchor retail locations and follows a carefully crafted retail leasing strategy.
The buildings include apartments that wrap around structured parking, and limited amounts of below grade parking. The retail main street is aligned to provide vistas of the local hills.
